Meet Martin Kaalund, our Global Chief Financial Officer

Martin Kaalund serves as the Global Chief Financial Officer for House of Shipping. He oversees the comprehensive finance operations including accounting, audit procedures, treasury, tax, and investor relations, ensuring the streamlined function across all partner companies. Martin boasts over two decades in financial leadership, management, and strategy.

Before his 2020 appointment with House of Shipping, Martin was CEO & CFO at B-Eye Solutions LLC and earlier, VP-Accounts for UASC (United Arab Shipping Company), the largest container shipping line in the Middle East region and adjacent markets. From 2008 to 2014, he was CFO UK & Ireland for Maersk Logistics/DAMCO Group. He also held pivotal roles at Maersk Line and was instrumental in implementing significant systems like HFM and SAP.

Martin holds a Master of Science in Business Administration & Commercial Law, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Commercial Law both from Copenhagen Business School of Denmark and a Diploma, Financial & Management Accounting ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in UAE.
