House of Shipping is recruiting for a Equipment Control Manager on behalf of its client Global Shipping Company.
The Equipment Control Executive is a professional responsible for managing and overseeing the control and coordination of equipment within an organization. Executive tracks and traces containers, ensuring inventory levels are maintained, keeping an open communication with all relevant teams.
Job role description:
- Build the Equipment Flow strategy based on import and export flow and forecast analysis. Own and drive the optimization of empty container flows aligned with Global equipment flow strategy.
- Initiate and drive end-to-end equipment related cost saving initiatives, including transport and storage costs.
- Engage with suppliers for procurement and monitor their performance for delivering high-quality service to customers.
- Coordinate with Repair and Maintenance team to get our assets back in fleet.
- Follow up with agencies to handle smooth equipment flow and execution in the port.
- Actively engage with multiple stakeholders to optimize the working relationships across organizational entities.
- Build business cases to support the equipment flows and navigate conflicting interests with your stakeholders to focus on bottom line results for the company.
- Own and manage the supply/evacuation of equipment on a various transport modality timely and accurately.
- Provide immediate problem resolution for internal and external customers by identifying the dilemma and strategizing a solution to ensure excellent customer service.

Graduate
Background and experience:
- Equipment Management: Prior experience in equipment management or a similar role is highly beneficial. Experience in handling equipment inventory, allocation, maintenance, and disposal is valuable.
Competencies and skills:
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry or sector in which the organization operates is advantageous. This includes understanding the types of equipment commonly used and the specific requirements and regulations related to equipment control and management.
